It is not strange to assume that you have used a pencil before.  We all have.

Have you ever thought of the lifelong lessons that a pencil can teach you?

First of all, the general view of a pencil is a line of carbon (graphite)  that is enclosed in a wooden body.  Some have erasers while others do not. Over the years though the outside has evolved and the body can be of plastic, or metal.

But the inside remains the same-the carbon inside which is what makes the pencil a pencil. That graphite, no matter what body it is placed in will still perform its duty of making carbon inscriptions.

So for you, have you taken some time to reflect on what you are made of? An inventory of your physical and internal characteristics will be helpful. Have you looked into a mirror lately to see what you look like on the outside-your physical? You are urged this day to look at yourself and identify what you are made up of.

So take some time and observe your physical appearance.  Check your skin colour, your eye colour, your hair type, your nose, your smile.

Furthermore, check your inner qualities.  Are you kind, loving, aggressive, hard working, soft spoken, loud spoken.  Do you like being in a large group or not?

This first step will allow you to be more aware of yourself.  This will be critical in taking the next step of accepting yourself.

Be brave Be bold Be beautiful Be you.

Accepting yourself

A pencil is a pencil and will always be a pencil. In a packet or on its own. Pink, purple, yellow, green? With glitter? Eraser? No eraser? Mechanical?  Plastic? Wooden?  The pencil will always be a pencil. So to you.  You will always be you. Tall, short, slim, plump brown skinned, fair skinned, dark skinned? Kind, arrogant, talented, hard working,  Even lazy? Long hair, short hair, kinky or kurly? You! Yes you! Embrace who you are.  Inside and out. You will always be you. Taking careful inventory of you will help in knowing and pinning what makes you you. Your flaws, your strengths and weaknesses are all aspects of you.  On the path to living a meaningful life you will have to drop some things. However, you will cross that bridge when you reach it. In the meantime continue observing yourself closely and take note of your features, talents and virtues. GROW! ELEVATE!   ðŸ’ª Click for the next post in the series: Being selected

Living your purpose

Living your purpose When we try to do something and fail, it can be quite perplexing, demotivating, unpleasant, and unfulfilling. That same issue is sometimes what someone else appears to excel at—going through it like a breeze. So you question yourself, "Why am I such a failure?" Why can't I be as successful as John or Jane Doe? 1.Your purpose When you are carrying out your mission, your journey here on earth is the most meaningful. What you are meant to perform is your purpose. It is what brings you peace in your soul, no matter how difficult it may appear. It's what makes your neighbors happy. It's also what brings out the best in you by treating your neighbors as you would want to be treated. 2.You are a steward We are all guardians of the environment. A steward is someone who looks after the belongings of others. Whatever we have on this planet does not belong to us. These things must be taken care of as best we can. We don't always take good care of ours...
